Industrial ProductsOver recent years, I have been creating sculptures made primarily of railway scrap: templates of wooden railway cars, railroad ties, motor parts, wheel systems and more.
My sculpting materials have originated in the railway foundry site established in the Kishon region of Haifa in 1931. This foundry produced railway car parts from wooden templates, serving as a source for parts for every train in the Middle East until 1952, when the foundry stopped its operation and was subsequently slated for demolition. These wooden templates, abandoned for decades, have now been converted into art pieces while still maintaining the authenticity of the materials, illustrating how history can attain another meaning and be rejuvenated into a living project. ![]() |
